Guest posting techniques for beginner

Everyone wants a quick and easy way to get their guest’s post published on a site. Unfortunately, there’s no such thing. We recently surveyed a whole bunch of seo professionals asking them what was the most difficult part of the link building. We were surprised at how many came back with getting blog owners to respond and approve guest posts.

You just have to do it do whatever it takes to find the time to make it happen, comment on posts now, it’s time to start interacting with them. You can do this by leaving blog comments, choose at least three of your favorite posts and leave an in-depth, meaningful comment on each one. Ask a question or offer a suggestion. You think, would add value to what they posted. The purpose of this is to spur interaction.

It’s also a good way to get them to see your name and learn who you introduce yourself, wait a few days or at least wait until your comments are approved and then email, the blog owner, introduce yourself tell them how much you love their blog. Ask them a question about their business or website. It’s critical that in the content of the initial email you write in a way that gets them to reply. If you just say you’re great and i love your blog, then they have no reason to respond.

Whereas if you say something like what’s been, your experience with x, y or z, they’ll be more engaged. People want to be helpful. It’s human nature wait for a reply. Now that you’ve emailed be patient and wait for an email response, sometimes this can come within a few minutes, but other times it might take days. If you haven’t received a response, send them a follow-up email after 1 to 2 days, if you never hear back from them, you should wait at least four or five days before you move to the next step, send personal pitch after engaging with the blog owner.

It’s easy to get personal because you’re already in a conversation with them, you simply reply to the previous email and gently ease in the pitch. Even if you haven’t been emailing the blog owner, the pitch email needs to be personal. You need to write a new one for every person you pitch, give three to five ideas: give your new friend three to five, really good ideas for articles you’d like to write for them. You need to write out three to five sample article titles. In the email, this is your chance to show you have the chops to create compelling content.

The last thing you would want to say is something like i’d love to write an article entitled why seo is important. Talk about snoozefest, make the titles exciting like an seo strategy. So simple, your grandma could do it. This alone can get you into the door for a lot of blogs.
