Search for Spring

Folds of filtered sunlight.

I fold the cold in blankets,
And miss the summer sun,
And look forward to the banquets,
When Spring is on the run.

I’ll wrap my arms around you,
We’ll be warm safe n sound,
Our love is colored by the hue,
In the warmth, we’ve found.

I look across the leaden skies,
And feel the freezing cold,
Then there’s the lovelight in your eyes,
That I can have and hold.

A tender touch means so much,
It makes my heartstrings sing,
And then there is such and such,
As of now, I search for spring.

The folds of filtered sunlight,
The buds are ready to bloom,
Equal times of day and night,
The sweet scent of perfume.

The mystic myth of you and I,
The design of destiny,
A teardrop falls from my eye,
I feel sweet serenity.

Past the class and real farce,
To the veracity,
Into a love that will last,
Filled to capacity.

I know my beau it is so,
As I search for Spring,
To a place where we will go,
Where there is everything.
